Hawthbush Farm is a magical venue for a wedding. You can take the whole farm over for the weekend and we will put together a truly unique and memorable event. To keep things special we will only do four weddings a year from mid June to mid July.
Friday Evening Communial DIY BBQ
Arrival from 4pm. After your guests have settled in, you are invited to use the barn facilities for a communal DIY barbeque at the top barn, we provide a large brick BBQ, fridge, tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery for a meal for all overnight guests.
Saturday Day, Blessing
Although we are not licensed for the ceremony itself, many couples choose to have blessing in our woodland clearing (weather permitting) or in our outdoor marquee. Most couples use a friend or family member as celebrant in this informal outdoor celebration.
Saturday Afternoon, Reception
• Large reception barn with wooden floor and canvas roof, set with wooden tables and chairs for up to 120, dressed with flowers to tables, bunting and festoon lights.
• large outdoor mowed area with tents and firepit, dressed with white bunting and festival style festoon lighting.
• Outdoor bar tent and chill out area with leather chesterfield sofas and candelabra
• Canvas covered wooden pole tent for blessing and cover
• Large central fire pit, firewood provided and rustic seating
We provide bar, serving staff and food so that you can provide your own drink without corkage charges. Glass of sparkling wine can be served on arrival. Wine will be served to the table. An evening bar service will be provided from 6pm 11pm.
The wedding feast is a served by our staff as a buffet with a choice of either an ethically sourced fish main, a vegetarian main or a locally sourced wood fired hog roast, all served with salads and artisan bread, followed by a selection of desserts and cheese.
We find that most couples prefer to create their own playlist which can be connected directly to our light and soundsystem to provide the barndance in the evening. We can also provide a list of local bands and DJ’s which you can arrange for at extra cost.
Sunday Survivors Brunch, 10am till 1pm
After clearing up the top barn for you we will serve your overnight guests piles of fresh, local and hot organic bacon and egg butties or eggy bread and maple syrup, toast and jam, as all on artisan bread and washed down with organic coffee, tea and orange juices. The best way to soak up the excesses of the night before!
